What is the difference between online self-study and online instructor-led courses?
The NMLS allows continuing education classes to be delivered in an online self-study format so students can complete them at any time. However, pre-licensing classes are required to be completed in an online instructor-led format. This means that an instructor is on staff during specified class hours when activities are viewed and approved in order to progress through a course.
