About the Instructor:

Marianne Collins is the President of the Government Lending Training Division of Diehl Mortgage Training and Compliance. She is also the former Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer for both the Ohio and New York Mortgage Bankers Associations.

Prior to Diehl and the trade associations, Marianne spent 35 years in the mortgage banking industry, her last position as Senior Vice President of Mortgage Lending for a Central Ohio bank. Marianne began underwriting VA loans in the mid-1980s and continued to do so throughout her career.

Marianne is a former member of the Fannie Mae National Advisory Council. She is past president of both the Columbus and Ohio Mortgage Bankers Associations, and a former member of the national MBA’s Board of Directors and Board of Governors.

Marianne is a winner of the MBA’s Burton C. Wood Legislative Service Award, a 2-time winner of the MBA’s Schumacher-Buldoc Award; and was the first recipient of the MBA’s State Leadership Award, which was renamed in her honor in 2019. In the 2013 centennial edition, Mortgage Banking Magazine named her one of “20 Leading Industry Women”.
