Course Description
This NMLS approved course will meet the 20-hour pre-licensing requirements. This comprehensive review of mortgage origination laws and procedures will engage and inform the student as we cover the mandatory requirements of 3 hours of federal law, 3 hours of ethics and fraud prevention, and 2 hours of non-traditional mortgage lending, and 12 hours of undefined education (known as electives). This course was drafted by industry professionals and attorneys and reviewed by former regulators and leading industry legal minds. Taught by engaging, industry professionals, a student will leave this course with a strong foundation of information to help them prepare for an exciting new career in the mortgage industry.
Format and What’s Included
Diehl’s NMLS Approved Course #4667 is a ten-day online course that requires 2-3 hours per day to complete. The course is offered every Monday. New material is released to the student each day at 5:00am Eastern Standard Time. If the course cannot be completed within the timeframe, the NMLS requires retaking the 20-hour course completely. We allow one free reschedule if a person is unable to take the class as it was initially scheduled. Our course was drafted specifically with the originator in mind. Subject matter was developed by industry professionals and reviewed by leading industry legal minds to introduce material from a sales point of view while using the national content outline. The online instructor-led format allows flexibility for the student to complete the daily coursework any time of the day. Instructors provide feedback on completed assignments through the Learning Management System.
This course must be taken from a desktop or laptop computer. The use of mobile devices, such as cell phones or tablets, is prohibited by the NMLS.
Training Details
Students will read through a series of modules, test for understanding with quizzes and participate in an activity forum graded by a trainer. We encourage students to reach out to the course trainer with any questions. This purchase includes the 20-hour SAFE Course #4667, an eBook of Essentials of Mortgage Loan Origination, and our test prep tool Prep2Pass. Diehl recommends fully utilizing the test prep before taking the National test.
